Watchers

After careful consideration  and loong ass procrastination, I have decided to merge my two Deviantart accounts. As some of you may know, I have a second deviantart account (Tsususame) where I posted some random other than paleo stuff (Creatures, manga/anime sketches speedpaints etc.). I originally started the other account because I had begun  drawing stuff that was deviating from my normal repertoire and theme of this account, namely natural history illustrations.  I was also sort of afraid that people would react negatively if I all of the sudden started posting the random stuff there. After all, they had probably started watching my works because I posted paleo stuff, not because of random set of speedpaints/manga/anime/ stuff.

In hindsight I realise how stupid my reasoning was. It has also become sort of a burden of trying to keep up and managing two separate accounts. More often than not I end up neglecting the other, which means I'm not properly keeping up with all the faves and comments etc.

Hence I have decided to combine the two accounts....content wise that is. I will be ridding myself of the Tsususame account and moving SOME of the contents from there to this account.
Dinomaniac account will stay but I will be posting more diverse stuff from now on.

I'm pretty much done with anime/manga stuff. I like that stuff, but I'm past my worst weeaboo stage. :D
So most likely none of that stuff will appear here. The stuff I have done previously shall be erased from the memory of humankind.

However there will be creatures, environment stuff, portraits, fine art studies etc.

And ofcourse Paleo stuff. :)

That is all

passing away the great paleoartist, Dan Varner(Daniel Wade).

I am in shocked for passing away the great paleoartist, Dan Varner(Daniel Wade). it was a very sad news for me and other lovers of his artworks. I am very sad the world of paleoart and paleontology loses one of the best paleoartists and a great man!
all of us as lovers of him would miss him so much.

Hope his work will be more widely seen and appreciated!

Hey, and merry christmas to you too, It's not far now. :)

I took a look at your gallery and I'm really impressed by the ammounts of work you have there.
Also impressive is shear variety of subject and poses and colors. This tells me that you are actually experimentin alot and that is a good thing. Now how to get better. I have said this to everyone who has asked my advice...draw from life. Draw animals, study their anatomy and how they function, study how they move and behave. Getting better understanding of those things will definately improve your skills not only dinowise but also creaturewise. Also where you can distinguish yourself from other young dino artists is to get strong knowledge on the basics. Shading, perspective, colors etc. If you have good understanding of those things you will be better. It may not sound like the most exciting thing to draw boxes and shade simple shapes, but once you learn that stuff you can easily apply that to dinosaurs or creatures.

If you can handle constructive criticism and wan't to get some truly great info and andvice on these things, go to Conceptart.org forums and start your own sketchbook thread. I started my own about year ago and have learned so much from the fellow artists who have been kind enough to share their wisdom.

I hope what I said doesn't sound like too generic but I assure you to learn that stuff is essential.

Thanks for commenting and have a super awesome christmas and happy new year!
