Alone in the woods by Dinomaniac Alone in the woods by Dinomaniac
Zuniceratops alone in the woods.

This is something that I started a while ago but abandoned it because I felt it was flawed in many respects. Then I rediscovered in my WIP folder, thought to myself "this aint so bad" and proceeded to finish it. And here we are.

It's still flawed but it displays some of the best flora I have ever painted.

Yep definitely worth visiting the WIP folder from time to time, especially when stuff like this is the result. I just love the light background, brilliantly rendered.

Superb.  I love art like this... like a hunter in his blind.

People beat me to the Doug Henderson comparisons, but that is a tremendous compliment, and in my opinion, a stronger compliment than being compared to Greg Paul (who in my opinion - although excellent - depicts dinosaurs in a far too clinical sense, almost mathematical, sometimes losing a bit of the "soul")

It kinda looks like the end of the dinosaur world in this painting. I want to go hug Zuniceratops now.

Excellent stuff (once again) so very douglashendersonian... Simple, yet filled with tiny details and superb atmosphere.

Suggestive. It reminds me the works of Douglas Henderson in some way, good job

If it wasn't for the digital painting thing, I would swear I look at Doug Henderson''s piece of artwork. It's really nice work. Love the atmosphere.

The sense of atmosphere is really strong in this one. The plant life is great, especially the trunk in the middle-right.

That's really beautiful. It is extremely detailed, but in a way that instead of giving a neutral "this must have been painful to draw" feeling, creates (in my opinion :)) a dreamy, emotionally suggestive dark atmosphere. I can't see anything really bad, the tail looks kind of awkward I think but I'm very bad at perspective and my paintings are all pretty flat so I surely can sympathize (and admire you because you didn't royally screw up the rest of it, which I would have :D). Great job :)

Really fantastic. Henderson-esque but I particularly like the contrast and stylization, both contributed to an immediate emotional impact. I feel like I'm there with the poor guy.
