Was trying intentionally to mimick style of Douglas Hendersons lithrographic prints. Always beeen huge fan of hes works especially the B&W ones. They have this interesting grain to them that lends interesting sort of realism to the pieces. Almost as if they were old photos. Anyways I was trying to figure out how to achieve something like that in digital medium.
Pirun hyvää jälkeä! Olisi hauska tehdä tämän kaltaisia kuvia Doylen "Kadonnut maailma"-kirjan hengessä, tyyliin vanhoja valokuvia Prof. Challengerin reissuilta
Beautiful scene (and including the new info about the posture of Postosuchus, right?). Personally I think that the style it's some similar to the works of Gustave Doré
In addition to looking Henderson-esque it also reminds me of a still from an old film, perhaps an Archosaurian equivalent of the "Patterson-Gimlin footage".
Beautiful drawing and amazing atmosphere. Love it!
BTW, my first thought when seeing this work was "Man, it reminds me of Henderson's art.", and then I red you comment and saw that the resemblance is intentional. Good work on trying to use the best of his style in your own way.
Bravo, really really bravo!
