Postosuchus crossing a stream.

Was trying intentionally to mimick style of Douglas Hendersons lithrographic prints. Always beeen huge fan of hes works especially the B&W ones. They have this interesting grain to them that lends interesting sort of realism to the pieces. Almost as if they were old photos. Anyways I was trying to figure out how to achieve something like that in digital medium.

First, top-notch work. Love it.

But it does strike me as a tad funny.

A decendant of a crocodilian crossing a stream in a way that makes it look like it dosn't want to get its feet wet.

Your Great^200 Grandfather would not be proud Postosuchus.

I'd really like this on my wall tho.

It looks as if you used a noise filter over the finished work, but maybe you used a separate layer for the filter. I'd be interested to know which.

Pirun hyvää jälkeä! Olisi hauska tehdä tämän kaltaisia kuvia Doylen "Kadonnut maailma"-kirjan hengessä, tyyliin vanhoja valokuvia Prof. Challengerin reissuilta:)

Beautiful scene (and including the new info about the posture of Postosuchus, right?). Personally I think that the style it's some similar to the works of Gustave Doré :)

It really does look like a very old photograph. IMO it has a very weird atmosphere, somewhat nightmarish or Edgar Allan Poe-esque even. Very cool.

In addition to looking Henderson-esque it also reminds me of a still from an old film, perhaps an Archosaurian equivalent of the "Patterson-Gimlin footage".

Stunning pic, the superb atmosphere, brought out by the 'grainy' look of the pic

Beautiful drawing and amazing atmosphere. Love it!

BTW, my first thought when seeing this work was "Man, it reminds me of Henderson's art.", and then I red you comment and saw that the resemblance is intentional. Good work on trying to use the best of his style in your own way.

I love Doug Henderson's work, and I recognized the resemblance! I would say a bit less grain would look better though!
